How does STARTREK ranks work?

The ranks (command) structure is like this:

Naval Rank v. Marine Rank

The people who play Elite Force, as there main game, use different ranks as they are marines rather than naval officers. Military Assault Command Operation soldiers (MACO's) are specialized in tactics and hold formable rank among naval personal. Click here to view marine ranks.

Admirals

 
Admiral Red Wings

Admirals are flag officers of STARFLEET. They are superior to the rank below their current (i.e.: Vice admiral is superior to Rear Admiral) All current admirals of STARFLEET are members of the council of admirals. There shall be no officer with flag ranked a non-member of the council of admirals unless they served previously on the council.

Duty Officers Wings

Considered to be an elite player who does not want a command position he is a seasoned veteran who can lead men in battle with excellent division commander skills. The D.O. is superior to division commanders and commodores. The D.O. is the prime communication between the council of admirals and the division commanders making the D.O. partly in charge of the division commanders duties.

Blue Commodore Wings

Commodores, Fleet Captains and captains are the ranks for those in earned command position in STARFLEET. A division commander is the leader of their division. They are required to do all things needed to improve their division: recruit, train officers, elect squad CO's and XO's and submit to the admiral's council those they feel deserve promotions, demotions and medals. In addition, they are required to make regular reports to command regarding their division activities and readiness. The CO of a division should also be training their XO for full division command in the event the CO must pass down their duties.

These ranks signify elite players in the starfleet community and long term dedication to STARFLEET. Senior officers are expected to be very active in their division and training routines.

Officer are expected to assist, without request from a superior officer, the lower ranks get trained and is expected to attend all training sessions and follow the orders of all superior officers while improving his:her skill level at the same time.

Cadets and crewmen are automatically put into the academy upon joining. They will increase their knowledge of STARFLEET and the game that they play for STARFLEET until graduation from the academy and the rank of Ensign is earned.
